Subsea electronics and video systems manufacturer, C-Tecnics has created a new development team in addition to relocating its manufacturing and service facility to Aberdeen. The move will position the company at the heart of its customer base and at the centre of technology for the subsea industry.

Headed up by Bob Manson, technical management will be by David Owen, a graduate engineer with many years experience in related subsea businesses. Together they bring a wealth of experience in electronics for use in hostile subsea and marine environments.
A new range of subsea video cameras, and associated surface control equipment, is under development offering ultra low-light performance with enhanced features expected of modern opto-electronic equipment. The systems will be aimed at specialist Diving and ROV markets and incorporate features to ensure product longevity and robustness whilst being smaller and lighter than most of the current products available, and at sensible prices.
Integrated diving video, communications and recording systems have recently been designed, manufactured and supplied to a number of companies to reduce space and complexity in Dive Control cabins. This advanced engineering which has attracted clients to work with C-Tecnics and modernise their approach to previously random designs and builds. The rack mounted systems incorporate HDD recording, 3 diver communications, dual camera split screen images with editing features and power failure back-up.
